Jerry and Darinda are so thoughtful and giving. They planned a family trip to Costa Rica for Thanksgiving this year. Jerry had a track meet there a few years back, and they thought it would be a fun place to bring the whole family. We flew first class to a beautiful chateau, where we had a great time making memories as a family.
The first day we just hung around the chateau. We swam, took a tour of the grounds, enjoyed pina coladas by the pool, and swam some more.

The place we stayed was amazing. There was a main house with several bedrooms, a game room, a theater room, a large living area, and a dining room, It also had a pool house (where our family stayed), another house (where Marc and Randee's family stayed), and then a gym/massage house. There was the pool, of course, a water slide, tennis courts/basketball courts, and a golf range. We never lacked on finding something to do.
The grounds were beautiful!
We ate lunch everyday down by the pool. There was a kitchen/eating area down there.
The kids swam their little hearts out. All day and into the night.
Jerry and Darinda truly spoiled all of us, and it's only day 1, lol. That night after everyone had gone to bed, Dave, Hunter, and I went to go night swimming in the pool. Dave stepped into the pool to see if the water was warm, and almost stepped on a frog that was sitting on the steps. The frog was the size of a bowling ball. It was crazy to see this huge frog swimming around the pool. Needless to say, we didn't get in. We were afraid of what else might be swimming around, lol.
