~May The 4th Be With You~

My little Star Wars baby turned 6.  We decided to celebrate his big day by partying Thursday- Sunday (the entire weekend)  Garrett is such a sweet boy and always says the funniest things.  He has us always laughing.  He is growing up way to fast!
For Garrett's birthday, we let him pick what he wanted to do and where he wanted to go as a family.  This little guy loves fishing and that's what he wanted to do for his birthday.  He wanted "just the boys" to go fishing.  We eventually talked him into letting us girls come too, lol.
We went to Barker Fish farm to do our fishing.  Garrett was surprised there was a fishing place so close to our house (I guess we will need to bring him there more often)
The kids were catching fish like crazy.  I had to finally stop them because I had no idea what we were going to do with all this fish.
Our nice neighbor smoked the fish for us on his smoker.  Garrett thought his fish tasted amazing!!!  He was so proud of himself for catching them.
After fishing we went home to open some of the birthday boy's presents.
He got a bike, legos, clothes, and a Jurassic Park video game.  We ended the evening at Kirts drive inn for dinner.

The following morning, his actual birthday, we surprised him with breakfast in bed.  Although I think the surprise was more on us, lol.  When we went into his room to give him his breakfast he wasn't there.  I guess he had had a bad dream in the night and was in Lexi's bed, lol.
Grandma Ropelato surprised him that morning with balloons and a present.  She even took him to feed the ducks before he had to run off to preschool.
It's official!  Garrett is 6 years old!
Garrett was so excited to go to school, because he finally was the mystery student in class.  He asked me to bring Buddy to show the class and read the story Parts by Ted Arnold.  It was fun to talk about Garrett and how much we all love him.  The perfect way to spend his birthday. :)
That night Lexi had dance competitions so Dave and Hunter took Garrett to see the new Avengers movie.  Garrett was stoked to have a boys night, however Mckell really wanted to see Avengers and begged Garrett to let her tag along with "the boys"  He finally caved and let her come too.
We had already celebrated a ton, but still had more partying to do.  We had the Wangsgard family over for a dinner and games.  Garrett loves playing with his cousins.
We had a fun-filled, busy weekend celebrating this little stud.  I hope he knows how much we love him and are so glad he is part of our family.
