~Utah Summer Games- Basketball~

We got home from Bear Lake late Saturday night, went to church first thing Sunday morning, then headed off right after church to spend the week in St George for the Utah Summer games.  Busy! Busy! Busy!  We always have a great time down at the summer games with Hunters basketball team, and this year did not disappoint.
We started Monday morning off with basketball games.  In fact we had games all day.  3 games on Monday, then basketball skills to try and earn medals in free throws, 3 point shot, and the hot shot competition.
Darinda came prepared for each game with her bag of toys.  It kept the kids entertained after being to games all day.
Lexi was so happy to have her buddy Ty there to play with.
The Redhawks:  Sam DelaPiana, Quinn Bennett, Rexton Schenck, Brex Patterson, Ryker Chatelain, Hunter Ropelato, Sam Gibby, Cannon Devries, and Calvin Fisher.

Dinner before heading to Basketball skills.
Lexi is such a goof ball.

Day 2 of the summer games started off great.  Collecting the medals from the night before.  Mckell got silver in all 3 areas of basketball skills.
Hunter earned Bronze in the 3 point shot.
The boys ended up playing 4 games today.  They were exhausted by the end, but really battled it out.  Between games we took a little break and headed to the park to play.  Mckell went shopping.

The medal game was quite the nail biter.  It was a 1 to 2 point game pretty much the entire game.  The refs were lousy and didn't call anything.  But in the end we pulled ahead and won ourselves the Bronze medal.  It was so exciting.  Our side of the stands went wild when the buzzer went off.  Such a fun win, but a very stressful game to watch, lol.  Way to go boys!
After our victory, we all headed back for Jerry and Darindas for a late night pool party.  Jerry didn't make it very long.  He was our cold within a few minutes, lol
We got up the next morning for a play day.  We spent the afternoon in the pool, enjoying the water and the sun.
After playing in the pool for a bit, we decided to take a little 4 wheeler ride up to Tocqueville Falls.

The kids had fun jumping off of the falls into the pool below.  None of the adults (including Quinn) did this because the water was pretty shallow.  We didn't want to break our legs, but the kids had a blast!
I love this picture of Mckell and Kolton.  They used to be the best of friends in Kindergarten, so it was fun to see them playing together over the summer games.
The boys had fun catching frogs.

We played at the falls for a good hour or so, and then headed back.  The ride back didn't end as we had all hoped.  Cade and Hattie hit a big rock and both went flying off of their 4 wheeler.  They both were pretty banged up.  Hattie ended up breaking her collar bone :( Poor girl!  We are just so glad that it didn't end worse, because it so could have.  They really are both so lucky.
It really was a fun and exciting couple of days.  After everyone left, the house was so quiet.  We almost didn't know what to do.  We enjoyed the quietness for a few hours, until the priests from our ward showed up for priest camp, lol.  It's never ending fun with us.
